Great hotel, great location!
As advertised, Hotel Duca d’Aosta is a short walk from the Mogliano Veneto train station. Rooms are small by US standards but typical in Europe. Rooms are comfortable. Front desk staff spoke English, but the best English speakers work during the day. Housekeepers do not speak English. I had very no problems with communication. Mogliano is a nice town with many shops nearby. Quick food restaurants are also in the immediate area, but nicer restaurants are further but still a short walk. The vibrant town center is very quiet at night, so noise is not an issue. My wife and I stayed in Mogliano as part of our trip to Venice. The trains run regularly to Venice’s St. Lucia station (20-25 minute trip). Travel via taxi from the hotel to Marco Polo airport took 15 minutes, cost was about 25 euros. The hotel staff handled arrangements for the taxi. I have been to Italy many times, and I think this is probably the best hotel and town I have been to. I think the smaller towns are Italy’s true gems. Hotel Duca d’Aosta and Mogliano Veneto are a great addition to any trip to Venice or the Veneto region.
Traveler's tip
Once you leave the tourist areas, you find less English speakers. Be prepared to grunt and point. I find a small bilingual dictionary works well for pointing at words. Show some interest and respect for the locals by learning some basic phrases. And it’s fun-)
