Charming and clean
We very much enjoyed our stay here. We found the pool clean and pleasant. The rooms, although simple, are spotless and cheerful. You’ll find lots of hot water, organic herb soap, and a wonderful view of the Caribbean from each room. Although there is no air conditioning, we found the ceiling fan to be sufficient (even in summer). The restaurant’s food is superb, featuring such delights as barracuda, pineapple chicken, coconut ice cream, local calaloo soup, etc. The owners were always available and helpful. Do not expect a luxury resort in a big tourist area. Be aware that the beach is a short walk away, there is no television, and the hotel is in a rather rural setting. That’s what we wanted in a trip to Dominica, and I would certainly stay here again.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Your guide book is not incorrect when it says you will be hard pressed to drive over 20 mph. But renting a car is a great way to see this island.

Below standards. I would not go back.
The Hotel’s overall appearance was shabby, not at all inviting. The entrance parking area was very small unpaved and filled with overgrown bush, with the Hotel sign painted with graffity. when we enterred our room, it was not what was promised. They gave us a fullsize bed instead of a king bed. when we protested, they offered 2 twin beds. The bathroom was very small, and privacy was at a minimum. No "TV". The pool was very small did not appear to be very clean. Advice!! Stay Away !!!!

Unless you don’t care about comfort. This hotel is not suitable. It’s probaly good for for people who hike and just need a place to sleep.
