Great location
We really loved the location. It is at the northern end of Kihei, at the south end of Sugar Beach, a 2 to 3 mile stretch of fine sand beach. We walked up and down the beach several times during our stay. Fantastic view of the ocean and neighboring islands from the lanai. From this location, it is a short drive to just about anywhere on the island. We shopped at Lahaina, walked along Ka’anapali beach(rather crowded), drove the road to Hana (a must see), and drove through Iao Valley to the Iao Needle. Also, went to a luau at the Wailea Marriot and toured the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium. Had a great time during our six night stay. Room was very nice and clean. Only issues were: some traffic noise in the bedroom and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable.
While shopping in Lahaina, we had lunch at the Lahaina Fish Company. Very good seafood at a reasonable price and the dining area is on a covered deck over the water. I had the Hukilau basket, consisting of fried fish, scallops, calamari, and coconut shrimp, with french fries. Very tasty. When we were there they had a happy hour all afternoon with cheap mai tai’s that were also quite good.

Great Location!!
The facility (not our condo) was going through some upgrades while we were there, but they were no interruption for us. The location of this condo was excellent. We were approx 15 minutes from anywhere....except Hana!!! Beach is right out front, and you don’t have to cross the road to get to it. Condo was in good shape and the price was great. Just what we were looking for: a nice place to hang our hats at night and watch the sun go down, but close enough to everything else for some great sightseeing!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
After we left the airport we checked in at the condo , dropped our bags, and then went out and picked up a few things for the stay at Costco and Safeway (snacks, breakfast stuff, and bottled water). We were able to save quite a bit of money by not having to buy ALL of our meals out.

condo stunk
the condo stunk of cigarette smoke. it must have been captured in the carpets. finally was able to air out by the time we had to go. elevator was inoperable for a period of time during our stay. the outside walkways were under repair the entire length of our stay.
