New hotel but very convenient to Greek ruins at Pasteum.
Clean & new. My husband says we should look for other Olimpico hotels when we travel Europe.

Three cheers for Hotel Olimpico
This hotel has just gone through an extensive renovation and is in beautiful shape - pool, bocce court,tennis, etc. All modern facilities. The beach across the street is almost finished. The service is great and the food in the restaurant is wonderful. We stayed there in May, just as the season started and it was not expensive. The area is not so good, kind of poor, but they lock the gate at night and the hotel is secure. The bus to Salerno stops right in front of the hotel. We would love to go back.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Go into Salerno and take the ferry to the Amalfi Coast, a half hour ride along the beautiful coast.

Good Hotel; Not So Good Area
While the hotel was adequate, had a descent restaurant across the street, and a good jumping off spot for the Amalfi Coast, the area it is located in is depressed and will give you some concern. If you just want a quick, inexpensive place to stay before driving the Amalfi, the hotel is okay, but I would not recommend the hotel as a destination.
