Perfect stay, great service, great location
Residence La Vetreria is definitely one of the best accommodation choices in Catania. I stayed 4 nights in March 2009 and was very satisfied by everything. The hotel itself is located very close to the heart of the historic centre of the city (central duomo can be reached within 5 mins on foot) and abt 20 mins by car from the airport. The building must have been a kind of mansion in the past, that has been carefully renovated without loosing its original style! Each floor has a big living room very nicely decorated with a small kitchen and a number of individual rooms. Each room has plenty of space, its own private bathroom, decorated mostly with wood and italian authentic colors. Cleaning is punctual and spotless. Service very good, friendly and English-speaking, plus they have very good suggestions for food and activities like volcano etna visiting. Breakfast is great and full of italian specialities! Free internet is also a plus! Overall great stay and very good value for money!
