Served its purpose
The hotel was close by to Williamsburg and other sites. Main reason we picked this hotel was price and being near Ft. Eustis . We spent most of the time out of the room but it was okay for when we needed to rest or just to talk with our guests. I will say they need to replace the mattress. Everytime I moved it creaked. The other problem we noticed was the placement of the ref. in with the vanity area. Try opening the door but had to back up since it opened left to right and the safe was in the way as well as any clothes hanging. Complementary breakfast was okay if you like cold cereal and toast Overall it was not a bad stay and if you are saving money I would recommend it.

get what you pay for
If you are staying here be prepared to bring your own towels ( the ones provided are sandpaper), your own coffee pot ( the one provided uses one cup pods), your own mattress ( the one provided feels like concrete with a sheet on it), your own maid ( no one came to clean the room the whole time we were there), and a translator because it is very hard to understand the staff. Why do you have to pay a lot to just get a good, decent hotel stay, especially when you need the room to sleep and clean up, since you are at attractions all day. Travelodge should be ashamed.

Good place for the $$
Although the rooms were a little dated, they were clean, provided a great matress for sleeping, and some covered parking for cars. The staff had some minor problems with English, but overall, provided what we needed. With two kids, the morning breakfast of cold cereal, donuts, juice, and coffee provided a start for he day. It is located about 1/2 mile from the visitors center on a road that is off the main thoroughfare and easy to get to. We were pleased that we were able to get 2 rooms for our 5 day stay for a cost that was less than one room in most Williamsburg hotels. Since you dont want to spend too much time in your room when visiting Williamsburg, this motel provides the basics at a greatly reduced price.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
This Travelodge is clean and provides the basics for a price a family can afford. Definitely a place to consider if visiting Williamsburg.
