Beautiful place to stay!
Let me start by simply saying the MonteLago Village Resort is an amazing place to stay! From the beautiful environmental surroundings to the little village shops. I stayed in a one bedroom in the Viera which is the main area by the village and the casino. They offer everything needed to make your place feel like home. From a full kitchen with a table and chairs, to a nice patio area where the view was spectacular! The Luna is a newer area on the other side of the Lake that offers rooms that are more modern. The group I was with had a room in this section. Those are very nice as well! My only gripe is that the bed in the Viera was not very comfortable. It felt cheap and old. BUT, the bed in the Luna was actually very comfortable. If you want to go to Vegas to relax and stay away from the energy on the strip, the MonteLago Village Resort would be my recommendation.

An Oasis off the strip
We were in Las Vegas to see our son race in the Silverman Triathlon. This resort was right in the middle of the race course. It was only about a 25 minute drive to the strip. The resort is beautiful and had everything there that we needed; casino, shopping and every kind of restaurant (italian, mexican, irish, seafood, cafe, american, coffee). Beautiful heated pool and hot tub without the crowds. Will definitely go back.
November seemed like a good time to visit Las Vegas. Very few crowds anywhere.

Beautiful place - needs attention by hotel staff
Place was beautiful. Had some problems with hotel staff: dirty shower curtain, called front desk - the liner was replaced but dirty outside curtain left in place. Called again, curtain was washed (but still looked dirty). Bedding did not fit (no fitted sheets) until last night of stay. Tub did not drain properly. Called twice - never fixed. Called for room service for dinner, we had the wrong menu. Called front desk, waited over an hour, called again, sent menu, but was the same wrong one. Gave up and went out to eat. But with a little attention to these kinds of details, place was beautiful. Pool was lovely. It was great being off the strip. We really enjoyed our time there. Wonderful wiew from our balcony.
