Skyline, goodness in the heart of NY

Beside being near the infamous H*ll’s Kitchen and looking more like a motel from the outside, the Skyline is a great hotel with a wonderful staff. I can only recommend staying there.

Would definitely stay there again

As others have said, excellent location for Time Sq, Theaters and not too far from Central Park. Large room with frig, large dressing sink area and separate bath. All without breaking the bank. Excellent Italian restaurant on 51 st. & 10th Ave and very close to many others on 9th Ave between 48th & 46th. along with well priced wine stores.

For seeing the city the simplest way one of the On-Off tour buses is the best. In 6 hrs, without getting off to "visit" any sight and with only One change of bus you can do all of Up Town & Down Town. If you have Two days you can then repeat the area you want to get off to take a closer look.

The other positive ratings were correct!

I didn’t know what to expect when we first got out of the taxi in NY on the West Side, but it turned out to be an extremely good place with very helpful staff and quite large (for NY) rooms with plenty of space - similar to Holiday Inn sized rooms and bathroom. We needed help with going on the subway system and also my wife forgot one of her medicines and the staff was wonderfully helpful going out of their way to show us on a map where things were. Although, I didn’t know it until we had to get a taxi to the cruise ship parked on the Hudson River, we were only two long blocks from the dock were we had to go. We would definitely stay there again in any future trips.

This hotel is about 4 long blocks west of Times Square and three short blocks from Columbus Circle and the Central Park. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport with a taxi or limo or bus during the week when the traffic is completely chaotic. It is only $45.00 between any place in Manhattan and the airport, but depending on the route to or from the airport there maybe a charge for tolls. All of our taxi drivers were very friendly and helpful.
