Idea location
You can’t beat the location -- across the street from Gare St. Lazare, 100 feet from a Metro entrance, two blocks from the big department stores, and just a a few blocks from the Opera Garnier and the fashionable shops in the area.

Depends on what you want/need
Negatives: Small dark bathroom with no hairdryer. (You can borrow from lobby desk). No washclothes; just hand and bath towels Huge plus: Instant-on hot water. This outweighs the negatives by a lot. The maid service was good. In short, the hotel served its purpose, which was: a place to sleep. Not luxurious but, sufficient.

Good location and price.
Hotel is in an excellent location. Within walking distance of many of the historical sites. Rooms are small but that is to be expected in Paris. Day staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The St. Lazare Gare (train station) is very close if you decide to use the train. We walked everywhere and enjoyed it immensely. Gave a real feel of the atmosphere. Would return to this location without a doubt.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Try the local pastry shops for breakfast. If you get a sandwich from the shops or cafe, there is plenty for two to share. Food is expensive but sitting at an outside cafe and taking in the ambience helps to soften the blow. Take a container for water since bottled water is expensive and sometimes hard to come by. Be at the Louvre when it opens, no crowd and go directly to the Mona Lisa. Take the Bateaux Parisien dinner cruise on the Seine. It’s incredible! Enjoy.
