Well-run and very attentive
This hotel reflects the hospitality and happiness of the country. The hotel, although middle-aged by "hospitality" standards, is kept clean and staffed by smiling and very helpful people. The location is convenient, the driver that I was given to ferry me about greater Accra was superb. Overall, I give the hotel very high marks. I am delighted to have chosen it and would certainly recommend it to others. A decided plus is the availability of an in-house bank that had very liberal hours and cashed traveler’s checks - sometimes a very complicated process in that region of the world!

AKWABA: Wonderful Welcome to Accra
My first relief after arriving in Accra at the international airport was the shuttle waiting for guests staying at NOVETEL. Only a short wait before the shuttle wisked us to the hotel. Since I was only staying a night, I found it easy to book the shuttle for the airport the next day. The shuttle was waiting as scheduled the next morning. Starving when I arrived, after checking into my well kept room, I immediately went to the restaurant where I found a sumptous and delicious buffet dinner. The same was true the next morning for breakfast when I had the chance to stuff myself before taking off for the airport for my flight. In all it was a "glorious night." The hotel is not easy to book in Accra. I was lucky to be able to book it through Expedia.com

Compares favorably with similarly rated hotels in the US, with respect to condition and service. The lobby area was a bit overcrowded with stalls (marketplace - setup during the Xmas holidays)
