We had an excellent stay. The staff was responsive and very friendly. The concierge staff were able to attend to all of our needs. As for transportation, the Central train station was directly across the street. Perfect location.

Le Meridien Brussels
This hotel is located close to the heart of old Brussels and is within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the sights of old Brussels. The hotel definitely has more of a business feel than a vacation feel and you will see more business people in suits than vacationers in the hallways and lobby. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bed is really comfortable and the bed covers are very warm and fluffy. The restaurant is ridiculously expensive and I never went there. Why would you with all the good choices nearby? If you walk past the old square and keep going for a few blocks, you will find a supermarket (where the best prices on packaged chocolate can also be found). The hotel is perfectly located for train access and there is an elevator from central station right into the hotel. Make use of the business center for free access to a computer and email. One of the computers has a strange keyboard but the other two use regular American keyboards.
If you take the Eurostar from London your ticket entitles you to go one way to any station in Belgium. The timetables can be heard to decipher if you dont read or speak French or Dutch, but dont hesitate to ask at information because they usually speak English.
