Great hotel for a family with young kids!
We absolutely loved our stay at Crown Paradise. We went with our 7 year old and our daughter who turned 2 on our trip. Kids Paradise was a huge hit. Baby Paradise was amazing for naptime, but my kids wanted to be with us at the pool and beach all week. The food was really good at all of the restaurants and the buffet-which had better selection than most buffets at other All-Inclusives. We did take the hotel tour which was a Tiemshare sales pitch, so keep that in mind. The staff bent over backwards for us throughout-a $5 tip goes a long way. Highly recommended!
You can make reservations for the sit-down restaurants for 3 nights in a row. I would recommend trying each of them and going back to your favorites. We really liked the Italian and Mexican restaurants.

Great place for a family
It was a great place to stay. It was our first time to Cancun and we had beautiful weather. The air conditioning in the rooms was little to be desired. The temperature never got down to what we had set. The beds were really firm, almost too firm. You are very rarely in the rooms anyway, so it wasnt a big concern. Very clean everywhere.
We went on fall break in October and it was perfect timing. The hotel was not crowded at all and the kids were able to do all their activities. The beach was clean and clear.

Great vacation, after we changed rooms
Our first room was on the first guest level, right next to the night club (shook the walls and floor). Our second room was on the 6th floor and looked just like the pictures from the web site with amazing views. As other reviews have said, it is not a 5 star resort, but it is a lot of fun. The buffet was consistently good, the specialty restaurants were a let down. They do rotate 2 or 3 specialty restaurants open each night, but we never had a problem getting in. Of the four, the Mexican restaurant is the only one wed try again. With the poolside snacks, midnight snacks and 24 hour room service, food was not a problem. The bars were great, drinks werent huge, but plentiful and never weak. The Kids paradise was perfect for my kids, ages 5 &7. They didnt stay there all day, but would pick out a couple things from the schedule each day and go from there. They loved the water park, games, crafts, pinatas, face painting and everything else. I cant say enough good things about the kids club and their staff. Even with the bad weather the last 2 days (thanks to Ida), it was still a great vacation.
If traveling with kids, check out El Rey ruins. Only a short walk from the hotel and about $3 US per adult to get in (they didnt charge for kids). Not as extravagant as the all day ruins tours, but a great way to spend an hour or two.
