Nice downtown location
We stayed on the 21st floor and had nice views of Mont Royal and McGill University. Nice central location with access to Place Ville Marie and the subway. The room, although billed as non-smoking, did still have a stale smoky odor and you cant open windows to get fresh air. Hotel bar was very pricey. $10 (Canadian) for a domestic beer and $16 for a glass of wine.
Traveler's tip on dining
Great bakery in Place Ville Marie for breakfast/lunch. Also recommend the 3 Brasseurs on rue Ste. Catherine for a good, hearty reasonably priced meal.

Lives up to its name and reputation
The hotel staff provided an excellent experience from check-in to check-out; reception, concierge, housekeeping. The amenities were a nice addition to the stay including the hot tub, swimming pool, steam room, etc. I would recommend the spa to anyone in need of a relaxing massage by wonderful physical therapists. The breakfast buffet in the mornings was a great way to start the day and the quiet atmosphere of the lounge and superb service rounded out a wonderful stay.
Traveler's tip on dining
Montreal is a city of wonderful restaurants and entertainment venues for the business traveler or family. Rue St. Catherine is a short walk from the hotel and filled with much to do for every interest. The old city is a short taxi ride away and a must see. Bring comfortable shoes as you can walk most anywhere or take the new bicycles offered by the City to all the attractions.
