Toronto Intercontinental Yorkville
The hotel is very well situated, right at the U of T (St. George subway), ROM, mink mile, Bata, and the new performing arts center. The room was nice, very quiet, bed was comfy. Lacking in a few creature comforts usually found in 4-star hotels these days (flat screen, slippers) but it honestly didnt bother me. The light over the bathroom mirror is, strangely, not balanced -- dim and one-sided. As there is no magnifying mirror either, it was frustrating when getting ready, morning or evening. Other than that I found all that I needed for a two night stay.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Take the #192 bus from the airport to the Kipling subway stop (Pay $2.75 C when you board/get a transfer). Go downstairs to the Bloor Street subway line and ride all the way to downtown for free -a really long way to go for only 2.75! Also, allow a lot of extra time when departing from Toronto back to the States, as you go through Customs/Immigration IN TORONTO before you go through security, not at your destination. And lines are long.

This is our home base when we visit Toronto.
This was our second stay at the Intercontinental Yorkville in as many visits. My girlfriend and I are quite pleased with this wonderful hotel. Rooms are clean and pleasantly appointed. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Location cannot be beat with its proximity to Yorkville (the ttc subway and the double decker bus tour stop is very close by.) We have found our home when we visit Toronto. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Traveler's tip on dining
We recommend checking out the breakfast and lunch restaurant Over Easy (just a few doors down on Bloor St.) for a nice meal to start your day. Also be sure to walk over to Yorkville as there are many restaurants to choose from without having to worry about driving or parking.
