Days Inn Mooresville Lake Norm

Really not bad considering the price

It was a decent hotel considering the price and it was located within close walking distance of a waffle house walking distance from a bunch of other restaurants and shops. The lake in Mooresville was very beautiful, I highly recommend eating at a restaurant on the water, or spending time on the water if possible. Mooresville has pretty much anything you could want without the all the worry of being mugged in the city. People are nice and it was a good trip. I would recommend staying at the Days Inn there if you are looking for a good price, nothing to complain about.

okay but better options out there

Needs to be tidied up...not a bad deal for the money, but we were visiting kids and the pool was closed and the room needed an overhaul.

Our room was nice enough but my husband laid on the bedspread and picked up several hairs (not his), so needless to say the spread came off the bed. I did inspect the sheets and they were clean and so was the extra blanket on the bed. Everything else was in great shape so no complaints were made. I know the spreads don’t get changed or washed everytime so I always take them off the bed first thing so I didn’t find the hair situation a huge deal. Other then that the stay was pleasant.

No HBO

We complained that there was no HBO and they never fixed it. They did not offer us any discount either. I could have sworn the pillows had head dents in them from the previous guest. The room was clean and all the appliances worked. I will not stay there again. Its cheap for a reason.

You get what you pay for

For the one night escape that I planned, it was worth the price I paid.....

Can’t wait to go back

The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was really good for a continental breakfast.They could have cleaned our room more often.

Convenient place to stay

Aging, needs maintenance. First room the tv did not work, 2nd room the door would not lock. 3rd room was satisfactory. Price was great. Breakfast quality, quantity and presentation very nice. All things considered, overall experience satisfactory, but I’m easy to please.

Not impressed

Our room was less than acceptable. The A/C did not work for the first two of three nights, we chased crickets two nights and the overall cleanliness was below expected. The interstate traffic was very loud. Would not stay there again.

Very courteous staff

Staff at hotel were extremely courteous. I left one of my bags at the room and they called me proactively to let me know about it.

was good for the price

The hotel room was clean,neat, and comfy. We had a king size non smoking room which had a microwave, coffee pot and small refrigerater. Lighting in room could have been better in the bathroom -vanity area. As a woman, no light to do makeup. Had a nice hairdryer. Office staff was friendly. Nice area, many places to eat and visit. Overall, unless you plan to live in the room, it was a ok place to be, the price was just right compared to the other hotel/motels in the area. I would rather spend my money on the fun and not a place to just rest and shower.

excellent hotel

the room was beautiful. furnishing very comfortable. it was nice to have a refrigerator to use. complementary breakfast buffet was excellent. lots of selections. hotel staff very helpful. When I had questions, or needed something they were very accomadating.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

this hotel is right by many shopping centers, including walmart, plus restaurants. It’s a fun place to be.

Not impressed given the area

Given the upscale nature of the area, I’m surprised that this hotel even survives here! We had a "ground floor" room and between the room above us which had no less than 5 people in it including kids (who ran the exterior corridors shouting until 3:00am) and the motorcycles out front, we received no sleep. We complained to the front desk clerk who promptly hung up on us! If you’re a "budget conscious" traveler, there are other choices here!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

take a boat ride around Lake Norman. It’s spectacular! They have a Sun morning lunch cruise (Lady of the Lake) that’s reasonably priced and the food and service are great!

Not impressed

I had booked 2 rooms non smoking with king size beds online and when we got to the hotel they had one king and one with 2 doubles. We had to stay in a smoking room in order to get a king size bed because they were bookef up.
