Affordable lodging for quick trip
Stopped here for an over-niter while visiting the Skyline Caverns. Didn’t expect much - Got a lot more. You will enjoy the stay!

Not bad for the price
My smoking room was located on the Banquet Hall Fl., and the employees would service the Hall,you could hear cleaning up noises, but all in all, a pleasant stay.

Great place to stay on a budget.
The hotel was fine for what we wanted. It has the basic accomodations at the right price for an overnight stay and was convenient to eateries.

Great deal for the money!
The staff was extremely nice to me and my children. The breakfast and coffee was really good and the rooms were very clean and tidy. Also, I overheard several guests checking out that they were very pleased with the service and the hotel and mentioned that they would be back when they came through. I will definately book them again in my travels.

Will stay again!
Had stayed at this Hotel years before but it has improved since then. It was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was good.Will stay again when traveling thru from Tennessee to Maine.

Hotel in Major Need of Refurbishing
We were very disappointed in this particular Travelodge. We chose it for location and the low rate. Unfortunately, it’s not a bargain - it’s just cheap. The decor in the lobby is nice enough but the rooms and hallways haven’t been updated since the 70’s and they are really in need of a major overhaul - furniture, carpet, etc. And all of the little details fall short too: the pillows are old and flat, the bed is old and uncomfortable, the bathroom is small & cramped, the room smells of old stale smoke even though we were in a non-smoking room, the complimentary "hot" breakfast was mediocre (and hot refered to the microwave you could use to heat pre-packaged waffles). The staff seemed nice enough during our stay but then, as we gathered our bags, getting ready to check-out, we received a call from the front desk - it was 11:03 and the manager was calling to make sure we knew that check-out time was 3 minutes ago. And when we exited the room 30 seconds later, three of the housekeeping staff were standing in front our door poised to knock. I have to say - I’ve never been "chased" out of a hotel before - and considering the quality of this hotel, they might want to avoid alienating potential repeat guests. Not so very hospitable...
Traveler's tip on dining
If you’re staying in Winchester, be sure to find your way to Old Winchester for some excellent dining. Don’t think that the chain restaurants near this hotel are your only options - there are much better choices in Old Winchester.

bang for your buck
I went to Virginia to see a concert in Front Royal, but decided to stay at the Travelodge because it was cheapest. When I arrived, the woman at the front desk recognized my name as if she was expecting me. She was very helpful and speedy both times that I dealt with her. The room was clean, quite average for this type of hotel, but much less expensive. There is high-speed internet, which is a nice feature. Also, the continental breakfast covered all the basics and satisfied my hunger. The location is in a populated area, so its not sketchy at all. It’s a good deal--go for it.
