Grossed out
It was a convienent location but the room seemed "dirty". There were suspicious red stains on the bath tub wall. The staff was nice though.

Austin Holiday Inn Towne Lake: Top Rate
Great room with the Expedia rate. Service and room were great! Look forward to coming back. Only disadvantage was the distance to the convention center, but they had an excellent shuttle that made up for it.

Adequate Austin Hotel
Really, Holiday Inn is a Holiday Inn. The room was comfortable and clean. The building is showing its age and could stand a renovation. There is no included breakfast like other HIs. The business center is available to all guests and is very helpful. The staff was courteous and always available. If you are looking for something fancy, look elsewhere. However, the cost was reasonable and we enjoyed our stay.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
6th St. and S. Congress are the places to be! Mighty Cone, a "truck restaurant" on S. Congress, does $2 milkshakes during Happy Hour.
