For Fire Island visitors
I normally don’t stay in chain hotels as there are no characters. But, I got to admit. This place was well marketed hotel and overall made our stay relaxing and comfortable. Anything of all, there was this amazingly comfortable bed. It was so comforty that first thing you want to do when you come back to your room was to lie on the bed. Room was much bigger, cleaner and newer than $300 lodge in Montauk. Also, hotel staffs have done amazing research on good restaurants. They have lists of recommended restaurants depending on what you want to eat, such as seafood, Italian or steak. It was very helpful and we ended up going to two of recommended places, both good, definitely interesting experiences, different from typical trendy NYC scenes. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone as along as someone isn’t expecting Four Seasons or Ritz.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Go to Sailor’s Heaven. It’s the best beach in NY. Once you are there, the water is emerald green! Ferry ride is $12 roundtrip @ person. Restaurants: Snapper Inn (It’s by water, but a little pricy)

Expedia reservation screw up, Nice Hotel
The hotel and staff were excellent overall. When we checked-in, expedia and the hotels computers only showed 1 reservation when in actuality we had 2. The hotel manager had never had this happen and neither had I, but the hotel was sold out. We were provided with a roll-away bed and had to double up the 1st night, but were then able to move into the 2nd room on the second night of our stay. Our room was not cleaned after returning from our days adventures, but with one phone call, the haed of housekeeping came up and cleaned the room. They also apologised and gave us a free movie rental. With all of that said this is a very nice hotel, in a nice area...Highly recommend!!!

Always a pleasant stay
I have stayed here many times and I am always pleased. Especially nice is the refrigerator and microwave in every room, nice restaurant on premises. Hotel gym should be updated.
