Great hotel for the price
Pallanza in general is a beautiful place, which definitely helps the appeal of the hotel, not that it really needs it. Balconies looking directly over the lake and right next to the ferry to take you to the other banks. It was really nice, clean, had a better than average Italian breakfast, and just an overall great weekend stay.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Good price, breakfast included, right on the lake (from which you can get a round trip pass for 12 Euros to go around to all of the different areas/islands for the day, you then return to Pallanza and your ticket is finished). There is also a great restaurant, really cheap, and amazing pizzas about 3 blocks to the left when you walk out of the hotel.
