Although the hotel sounded cool and appeared to have a decent quality rating on various websites, we were absolutely appalled. It started without even a hello from the front desk person, walking along filthy hallways with beer glasses strewn about in the hallway, broken windows, and a room with peeling wallpaper, sagging mattress, stained sheets and bedbugs. The bathroom window had no window covering and was easily visible from all passing through Central Station and looked like it was still a hospital bathroom from the 2nd world war--far from charming in the browny-dingy light. I can’t state enough that I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone except maybe very young backpackers just relieved to have a room to themselves. And to top it all off, the hotel staff was rude and very unhelpful. Stay away. We only lasted there about 30 minutes.

Older Hotel
1. First impression of the hotel was not good. 2. The lobby looked pretty bad, carpets worn and plywood on the floor entrance. 3. Hallway going to the room some carpets thread bearing. 4. The room was small but was very clean. 5. Close to bus station and train station next door. Although the hotel was old it was in a good location and the room was clean. For the price and location we would stay there again.

A Pit.
It was hot when we arrived in Glasgow. Our room window would not open. I requested another room or a fan. When we returned to the room, there was a fan...in a box...unassembled. The room was not very clean. But that didn’t matter as the hot water didn’t work, so we didn’t shower. This hotel alleges to be in the Quality chain. Both should be ashamed.
