Great hotel! Will definitely make me favor Hampton inns in the future!
The hotel has very nice lobby and very nice people staffing the front desk. There is a complementary breakfast, which is very nice. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The entire establishment feels very welcoming which is more than I can say for most 4-5 star hotels I’ve stayed in recently. To top it all off there is free internet in the rooms (via ethernet cable) and free wi-fi in the lobby. The hotel is practically in Newport, about 10 mins drive to the mansions. This was a great weekend away. This hotel really understands the meaning of the word "hospitality" can’t recommend it enough.

Great place to stay when visiting Newport
This is a beautiful hotel on the main road into Newport, within minutes of downtown and the mansions. The large room had free internet service, refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast room was large, beautifully decorated with high ceilings. Lots of free parking, and parking is a premium in the area.

Nice hotel, but prefer non-smoking
Was upset that we reserved a non-smoking room and ended up with a smoking room. Hampton Inn stated that they never received confirm/reservations from Expedia regarding this.

Great Find!!!!
I am so happy that I stayed in Middletown instead of Newport, the price was much more pocket friendly, and this hotel was PERFECT!!! Nothing super fancy, but great service, nice breakfast included, and very clean. I would recommend to anyone and I would go back again.

Very impressed!
This hotel was a great stay!! We needed directions to the Newport Mansions -- quickly, the receptionist helped with pre-printed direction cards (very convenient!!) Also, my husband needed a bathing suit -- again, quickly, the receptionist gave us suggestions for the closest stores for shopping (& direction cards!!) Convenient to downtown Newport and to the Mansions. Very clean and a pleasant stay! We would highly recommend it.

Would go back
The hotel room was very comfortable. Amenities like in room refrigerator, continental breakfast, a business center were great. Also it was a very close drive to Newport. Overall a great trip and I would go back to this hotel.

Hampton Inn A great place to stay in Rhode Island
My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn for her brother’s wedding from 12/18/ thru 12/20. Althought it was very cold and we had a good anount of snow, it was very comfortable and clean. We were able to get a very affordable price with the help of Expedia. There are many places to eat and shop near the hotel. Overall it was a great time.

Great place to stay when visiting Newport
I am never disappointed when I stay at a Hampton Inn. This particular location was spotless. The entire staff was courteous, helpful, and acommodating. The location was a 5 minute drive to the city of Newport and close to all the attractions. Breakfast is included - both hot and cold choices are available. The complimentary warm cookies and hot coffee at the end of our sightseeing day was an added treat. Especially great place to stay for business travelers.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Make the Visitor’s Center your first stop. They are a wealth of knowledge about all the local attractions and the best way to get the most out your visit to the area. The Viking Trolley tour was a great way to see the city and get a brief history lesson about the local sites. Try and catch the night program at Beechwood - "An evening with the Astors’". The performers were extremely talented and really brought the era to life.

Great Place to stay
This was my first time visiting Rhode Island and my first stay at Hampton Inn. I must say that the thing that impressed me the most is the friendly staff, besides this the rooms were clean, with ample amenities and comfortable beds, the only thing is lack of Wireless Internet in the rooms (Access was available only thru Hard Cable, Wireless was available in the Lobby however), but hey if you’re Vacationing, the last thing you want to do is get on you Laptop. Cant wait to go again :). I would recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for comfort on a Budget.

Out of town --- but reasonably convenient
This is a comfortable hotel on the border between the commercial and residential areas of Middletown. The view is not stunning. However the hotel is well appointed and quiet, and provides a decent breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants in Newport itself and on the road into the town centre. The nearest is a burger/pizza place across the carpark. This is not central Newport, and that is reflected in the price of the rooms, but there are buses and taxis.

Touristy but very attractive is the Newport’s wharf area with good shops and restaurants. Take the harbour trip to learn some history, and see past winners of the Americs Cup.

Hampton is awesome!
Stayed one night at another hotel. Couldn’t sleep due to cheap pillows and tons of noise. We were able to switch to the Hampton and were so happy we did. Clean, quiet, comfortable, luxurious. Amenities are terrific. Will always go with Hamptons in the future!
