In fact he stayed for months at a time in what is now the John Wayne Suite where he and Pilar and the kids spent many summer days and nights. In the last three years we have "spiffed up" the motel with new luxurious queen sized beds, new and extra lighting, new bedspreads which make our rooms, we believe, as good as any motor homes. Moab is the largest and nearest city to Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. The Colorado River with rafting and river excursions runs by Moab's north end.
