Wrmt problem at the <ny hampton inn

Not a ba place buyt in the winter someone sholdhave realized the heat in the room was not working. <<the included breakfast was good. We would return but hopeour entry was not delayed due ti airport problems.

Nice hotel, but I couldn’t get my A/C to work!

My daughters & I enjoyed our stay, but we were unable to get the air-conditioner to work, we had to open the window for air. They did offer to put us in a room that didn’t have central air, but we didn’t feel like packing all of our things up & moving. They said the units had been changed over to heat for the fall. It was unseasonably warm while we were there. 60/70 degree days in October requires A/C.

the hotel was clean and quiet and the staff was welcoming. We were close to several restaurants, shopping and attractions, All in all an enjoyable stay Iwould definitely stay there again

the positive features prevail

Positive features: good location, helpful personnel, clean rooms, surprisingly large bathroom, comfortable beds, breakfast above average considering the hotel category, relatively large variety of TV channels. Negative features: there is no cabinet in the room (one should store the clothes in the suitcase), they stopped offering the complimentary warm cookies with milk in the afternoon (earlier this was standard).

Great Location!

I picked this hotel blindly... and it turned out to be in a great spot! A couple of blocks from the South Street Seaport, Seaport Museum, fabulous restaurants and excellent people watching opportunities. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and very accommodating... My room was very comfortable/clean... I will definitely choose this hotel again!

Good price/performance ratio

Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast room too small, air conditioning noise a little disturbing in the bedroom. But overall impression is good, good price/performance ratio.

Definitely good value

Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast is a pleasant surprise as even higher rated hotels in Manhattan do not offer breakfast. Location is convenient for subway lines but as other reviewers have stated, not great for nightlife and the walk from the subway to the hotel is not the most pleasant past 10 p.m.

The room was one of several in the basement ("C" level) and the only one with an outdoor patio. The patio was large, attractive, with live plants and a table for four. The only downside to the location was that the room was directly opposite the lounge area for the workers and tended to be a bit noisy early in the morning.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

It was an easy walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to DUMBO where it is possible to have a pleasant lunch, check out the state park on the east side of the river, and enjoy the view of Manhattan.

Perfect location,, I will use it again

Hotel was in a perfect location, walking distance to wall st. and other atractions. Next to Pier Mall and restaurants. Only few minutes away from many points of interest. Only three blocks away from subway station which is very easy to use. All staff was very friendly specialy Berkis and Marcos. nice breakfast. Rafa from Guatemala

Excellent quality for its price

Good location, clean rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast is crappy, as typical for hotels of this level, but overall, an excellent quality for its price.

Worth enough for the price

Price was worth it, the fact that it includes breakfast and the location is very near to all lower Manhattan attractions.

This hotel offers a great value for your money. The location is amazing - just beside the Brooklyn Bridge and conveniently connected with all major attractions by subway. Highly recommended!

decent place for the price

The room is in very good condition and clean. 5 to 10 minutes walk to subway stay and Wall st. It’s a very place given its price and location.

Conveniently located near Grayline Tour buses, subway stations, bus stops, and Ferries to Liberty Island, Ellis Island. Walking distance to Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge. Walking distance to the largest China Town in the US.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Travel the subways. Cheap at $2(US)one way anywhere the subway goes. Discount passes available at even greater savings.

Great Hotel and Staff

The staff was extremely helpful as we were there for our daughter’s wedding. They made our stay very pleasant. In fact, we stayed an extra day and they honored the expedia price.

OK room for financial district

The rooms were OK, but the area is not the best unless you need to be in the financial district.

Great place for traveling in NYC.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was very nice and helpful. The room is well appointed and had a comforting fell to it. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom nice and clean. The view from the window could have been better however, didn’t stay in the room long enough to worry about it. The Brooklyn bridge was a stone throw away as well as the south street seaport. Great walk in the evening or the morning!!

Don’t forget your walking shoes!! Go to Little Italy and the Paris Cafe.

Very happy with this hotel!

The hotel staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful, going out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. Our room was pristine and quite spacious. There was plenty of room to move around and the bathroom was plenty big enough for the two of us to get ready at the same time. The bed was so comfortable that we made a point of asking what kind it was (we are about to redo our guest bedroom at home). The hotel is located about a block from the Brooklyn Bridge and the Seaport is right around the corner. The subway’s just a few blocks away, so it’s a great location with easy access to getting around the city. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again on our next trip.

Five Guys Famous Burgers on 55th (there’s also one on Bleecker). Excellent good old-fashioned burger! They’ve received many accolades from reputable reviewers and, after eating there, they are well-deserved! Also tried a wonderful Italian restaurant before seeing a Broadway show - Ciro’s on 8th Ave. Great food, good service, friendly staff! And they offer a Prix Fixe pre-theatre menu that’s got a great selection.

Best deal in NYC

Stayed here with my husband and our 8-year old daughter for her birthday. This hotel was perfect for us, and I’m picky about hotels! The full breakfast was fine, room was NYC-small, but very clean and very nicely decorated, doorman and staff were very friendly and helpful. (You should bring your own hairdryer, though-- the little one in the bathroom kept overheating and cutting off.) The location was great for us to make the Statue of Liberty ferry on time Sat. morning, and the Fulton St. subway line is just a block or so for going uptown. There are also two bus lines that stop right in front of the hotel, but we used the subway-- much faster for getting to midtown than cars or buses. The price difference for staying downtown was worth it! We would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Take the subway!!! $2 per person to go anywhere in the city, fast. A cab ride from this hotel to midtown cost about $30, plus tip, and who knows what traffic will be doing.

Great stay in Lower Manhatten

The hotel is located just south of the Brooklyn Bridge in Lower Manhatten, within walking distance to the South Street Seaport, Battery Park, and the subway system. Comfortable rooms, great beds, and a very friendly and helpful staff made our stay great.
