Dont Believe the Website Hype!
The Glengate Hotel has a beautiful professionally done website that makes the hotel look like a resort. It aint! Its an unimpressive box of a building located in a sketchy part of town. Dont expect to find any nice restaurants or cafes nearby. The hotel worker (the only one I ever saw working there was the one working the front desk) was really nice. But the rooms were rough and ready: the beds were hard, the sheets low quality, the "heater" noisy. The free breakfast consisted of dried cereals (my Raisin Bran with no raisins!), but, hey, the coffee and milk was good. Overall, it was probably worth the low cost of the room. But everything about this place shouts CHEAP, which is not what you would be lead to believe from the hotels website. Dont believe the hype! There are other nicer, if a bit more expensive, hotels in the area that would be a better deal than this.

Its all good :)
I wasnt excepting a lot. I just wanted a clean place to lay my head, a room to store my stuff and a staff to help me not get lost....I got everything I wanted! The staff was helpful and kind (I asked about a million questions and they didnt roll their eyes once!). We didnt walk to the falls because our visit took place 2 weeks before Christmas and it was Chilly-Willy out there, but it seemed close enough for us to walk had it been warmer. The only caution is make sure you bring soap, shampoo/conditioner...Im a girlie girl and have long hair and the stuff they supply wasnt good..But other than that, It was all good! Had a blast for for the price we paid, would stay there again.

Almost very satisfied
The overall stay was impressive. The one thing that I did not like was the hard mattress. If the mattress had been comfortable, it would have been a perfect stay. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The room was extremely clean.
