Great for young couples
Great beach area and the service was also great. Very stilish hotel although a bit overprized. Other than that, it is a fine place to relax and enjoy Playa.

Had to move to Mosquito Blue
I had a reservation at the Mosquito Beach but had to move to their sister property because upon check in we noticed that the pool was very dirty, the common areas were not kept clean and the ac was not workin gin the room. I had a great experience at the Mosquito Blue Hotel & Spa which is close by.

Best Honeymoon Spot in Playa Del Carmen!!
I don’t even know where to start! My husband and I stayed at Mosquito Beach for our honeymoon 2 weeks ago and we had a BLAST!! The hotel is absolutely stunning, very upscale compared to other hotels we saw during our stay. RIGHT on the beach, with wonderful little beds to lay out on during the day. The staff is SO friendly and super helpful. The breakfast is wonderful and they serve it complimentary till 11:30!! Our room was very romantic and cozy. The only complaint about the room was the toilet. It’s square. But it wasn’t too bad, just had to get used to sitting on a square haha The shower is big and gets really hot. The bed is HUGE and pretty comfortable. The cleaning staff cleans everyday and they really did a fabulous job! The pool is very very nice, never crowded. I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE who wants a romantic getaway. Definitely better than a big resort. Stay at Mosquito Beach. You’ll be SO glad you did!
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Senor Frogs is AWESOME! They are wild and make sure you have a GREAT time :) There’s also a beach bar/club a few blocks down off of 5th avenue on 12th avenue that plays American music. The DJ was amazing and the drinks were WONDERFUL. Ladies drink free on Saturday nights and there’s no covercharge that night either.
