Wouldnt stay there again.
I needed a location in the San Giovanni area and the Roma Parks location was great. However, the room was too warm for comfortable sleeping (air conditioning doesnt start until June 15, which isnt mentioned in promotional materials). Having to go to the lobby to use WiFI was inconvenient (it isnt available in the rooms). Finally, the staff were not overly accommodating.

Not bad, but could be better for a four-star hotel
I was overall pleased with the level of cleanliness and maintenance in this hotel. I is also conveniently close to downtown Rome-- about 10 minutes away by metro, plus another 10-minute walk from the hotel to the metro station. On the other hand, this hotel is quite noisy; the walls are paper-thin! My room was on the third floor, and I was woken up almost every single day at 6am by people conversing in the room next door or upstairs. At some point, I could even hear people having sex upstairs! Last but not least, I expected a bit more from a four-star hotel in terms of staff friendliness; some staff would just stare me in the face without the regular greeting one would expect at a hotel. Then again, I found most Italians to be rather rude, so maybe this follows from the general culture in the country (or maybe just in Rome, or maybe its just me!).

Worth the Walk
Ill tell you outright, that as a student currently studying abroad, I dont have tons of money to throw around. This was a dominating fact for my hotel selection process. Roma Park came up as an affordable option with good features. So, to Rome I went and upon arriving at Roma Park and buzzing to have the gate opened, I was greeted by a nice man who spoke English very well. He explained to me the things that I needed to know and said that he was there if I had any questions. The room itself was nice, with plenty of closet space, lots of lighting, and a nice bathroom. There was a TV, and although I didnt turn it on once, Id bet that all of the programs were in Italian. The free breakfast was also nice, with a selection including pastries, cereals, eggs, meat, yogurt and a number of drinks. Heres the thing - Roma Park is not right in the middle of things. Being that I couldnt figure out the buses, I walked everywhere. From Roma Park to the Colosseum is a 40 minute walk. This, of course, isnt bad at all for me, but each person is different. My final words - Roma Park was a nice hotel at a very nice price, but a little out of the way. However, I think that the good outweighs the walk, making Roma Park well worth it.
