NEVER STAY HERE
I booked a room at the Morning Glory in late April 2009 for an overnight stay in Pittsburgh, PA on 11/14/09. I stayed there previously without incident. Upon my arrival in Pittsburgh, I called to verify that the room was available and inquired when I could check in. I was with my 65 year old father. I was informed by "Dave", my reservation was unilaterally canceled. The reason I was given was that "times have changed" and "there were a lot of cancellations recently". Dave then informed me April 2009 was "a long time ago" and that he tried to call me but could not find my phone number. He stated that he could not find my number using 411 directory assistance while acknowledging that I indeed did have a reservation for 11/14/09 and that I had stayed there on 8/29/09, used a credit card to pay for the room and there were no incidents. It was a busy weekend in Pittsburgh over 11/14/09 as there was a nationally televised college football game, NFL game, and NHL game. My weekend with my father was ruined. Dave never gave a reason besides "times have changed". Most of all, I feel bad for my father who was really looking forward to this trip. Needless to say that I will never stay there again. I just would like to prevent Dave and The Morning Glory from ruining anyone elses trip like he did ours.
Please do not stay at the Morning Glory
