5 Star Hotel with 2 Star Food
Friendly staff, a lovely hotel with all the amenities. A great spa and fitness center. Location was excellent, easy to hop a bus to other points of interest. Unfortunately they need a new chef at the poolside snack bar, their service and snacks were very disappointing. They can make this so much better with a little effort.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If your breakfast is not included in your hotel price, theres a great little snack kiosk with great coffee, sandwiches, pastries, (beer, wine). Ultimately cheap!

Le Meridien - a great choice in Malta!
The LeMeridien is a contemporay, beautiful hotel overlooking St Julian and Balluta Bay. I highly recommend the sea side view rooms - as the view overlooking the sea is lovely. The rooms are large and comfortable and nicely decorated with amazing local art work. The location is near the bus line, but walking around Sliema or St. Julian on the sidewalks is fun too. The are restaurants and coffee shops along the waterway within walking distance of the hotel in St. Julian or Paceville. The colorful fishing boats, beautiful geological features, along with the urban setting of the cities make Malta a great location for a vacation.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We used the bus system and found it an easy way to get around Malta at a low cost. The ferry to Gozo to the Azure Window - and the little boat ride there is fun. A trip to the Blue Grotto and stop a Mdina is a must. Valetta is worth a day going to the Grand Harbor, museums and the waterfront. There are other side trips like the Three Cities or Dingli Cliffs that are also interesting if you have time.
