San Julian
Helpful staff, but difficult to find in this maze called Venice. If you’ve never been to the San Julian, you better have a reliable street map, and hope the tide isn’t high at San Marco.

A hop and a skip from San Marks Square
The San Zulian is decent hotel for Eurpoean standards. The hotel is clean, the decore is nice and the staff is helpful. Understand that Venice is a small city and very old city and accomadations are small in all hotels.

Remember that Venice has no cars, no buses or metro and you will be haul your bags to your hotel from the boat. Be sure to stay near St Marks square or you will waste time and money getting there; its where everything happens

Perfect spot in Venice
We just got back from Europe - loved the hotel, it was in a perfect spot - just minutes from St. Mark’s Square - very nice breakfast buffet, and the staff was very accomodating. I’d go back there in a minute.

Take a gondola ride during the day - you see everything and it’s a lot less costly than a nighttime ride.
