Nice new hotel
The Golden Tulip is a very nice hotel, it’s been build for only 6 years. All the rooms are nice and spacious. The lobby is kind of small, so you don’t expect the room is as nice as it is. They have a good breakfast and I would definitely go back. The receptionist aren’t that nice, but nothing that isn’t worth staying on the hotel for the price & quality that it is. There’s a bus stop right on the side of the hotel and the central train station is a 5 minute walk. If you want you can walk to some of the attraction, they are 10 minutes away or take the bus or the train.
Take the bus to the Prague Castle and from there go walking to the others atractions by the end of all the atractions you will be a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Great Service and Good breakfast
The hotel staff was great being that we took the over night train in from Krakow Poland and arrived at the hotel at 9:00 am, they had our room ready. We did request early check in and they didnt charge us for it. The hotel is a short walk to the main center or town however it was located on a large off ramp of the interstate that by passed the tourist area. Being that it was located on the interstate the noise from the traffic could not be heard inside the hotel. There were a few undesirable clubs in the area but it seemed safe to walk around even later at night.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The hotel was a five to ten minute walk to the main square in Prague. Prague was one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been.

Superb rooms, excellent breakfast!
The neighborhood isnt charming, but once you are in the hotel it doesnt matter. And its a short walk to the charming Old Town (Stare Mesto). The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a wide choice of healthy stuff. The staff are very friendly, but dont seem to be knowledgeable - about the public transport system or good places to eat. Both the recommended dinner places were very disappointing.
Traveler's tip on dining
Found a great vegetarian restaurant in the Old Town area. Dont remember the Czech name, but it means Clear Head in English.

Awesome Staff, Awesome Hotel, right in the middle of it all!!!
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Close to all the major clubs, try out Duplex. THe staff at the bar will give you other places to try out as well.

Nice hotel, 1 deficiency
We had a great time at the hotel and in general terms we are satisfied of the overall service. The only thing I must notice is about the heating of the rooms as we could not have full control of the heating system because it is connected with the hotel reception... Thats all... Thank you.

Great Breakfast Buffet Included-Golden Tulip Prague
I would definitely stay at this hotel if visiting Prague in the future. The location was perfect (short walk to the old town center) and the breakfast buffet was fabulous. The room was very clean and the staff extremely helpful and polite. Plus there was free internet!!!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The old city center is great to stroll around in, but the prices are jacked up. Very near the Golden Tulip hotel is a fabulous (local) restaurant called Pivovarsky Dum located at 120 44 Praha 2 - just ask the hotel for directions as it is an easy 5-10 minute walk and well worth it. Great prices/atmosphere/clean/excellent local cuisine.

Wont stay there next time and wont recommend it
Room was convinient but they do not have room service every day. Receptions were not helpful and enough respectful, low customer service skill. Specially one of them was so aggrassive and rude even to answer a very simple basic question. quality of breakfast was ok but not good.

Friendly, functional, efficient hotel
Stayed in the Golden Tulip Prague Terminus for a conference in early June, 2008. I selected this hotel for its location- straddling the tourist-site laden old quarter, while still about 10 minutes walk from the (major chain) conference hotel. The Golden Tulip building is directly opposite a major train station (but not the one where my train from Budapest arrived!), and theres lots of hustle-and-bustle nearby. Shops, restaurants and the like are quite close. The hotel building has an older feel (probably a renovated 19th century structure), but is clean and well maintained. The staff were quite friendly and excellent in assisting booking of tours, arranging a 4 a.m. taxi to the airport, etc., and even giving a bowl or two of free ice from the lobby bar (rarity in Europe) to cool off soft drinks/water after a long days walking tour. The buffet breakfast was generous, but more emphasis upon quantity than quality perhaps. The bed was big (king), yet square footage small, tucked into a top-floor room under the eaves. Every functional amenity was there squeezed into the room layout, though. The bathroom- all granite- was highlight of the setup... ultra-modern & surprisingly spacious. About a ten minute walk from Powder Tower, Old Town Square (astrological clock, etc.), Jewish Quarter, and Wenceslas Square (National Museum), all in slightly different directions.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Take one of the walking/boat/tram tour combos, leaving from Wenceslas Square (about ten minutes away on foot)... Prague is best seen at eye level, and the guides let you know what youre looking at in crowded, touristy quarters.

Solid mid to upper tier hotel
On the outer edge of old town - only a 3 minute walk away from the square. Views out of the room are terrible, but who cares? Clean rooms, good breakfast in the morning, friendly staff, reasonably affordable. Good call.

Great Value!
The Tulip Inn was a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. The breakfast that was included with the room was amazing and offered a variety of options. The hotel is a little far from the center of town, but is very walkable. I would definitely stay there again!

Excellent value
Spacious rooms. Hotel within walking distance of Old Town Square and other major attractions. Numerous rstaurants and local grocery stores available nearby. Close to train station and local trams. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Note that rates may vary depending on day of week.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Be prepared to do a good deal of walking around Prague. However underground metro lines and above ground trams will take you just about anywhere within the city. Get one or three-day pass.

Tulip Inn Prague Terminus
Excellent breakfast buffet(serve yourself)as well. Tram stops around the corner. It is about a 10 minute walk from the beginning of the old (tourist) part of town which can be a little inconvenient. The area is a tiny bit marginal.

Terrific value, very pleased!
My daughter and I just came back from a stay at the Tulip. The location was fantastic, close to a train station (be careful, not all trains like the one we wanted to take to Vienna leave from this one so make sure you know which one your train is leaving from) and a ten minute walk from just about everywhere we needed to go. The rooms are exceptionally clean, lobby with the two computers convenient and nearly all the staff go out of their way to accommodate guests, particularly Tomas and Esteven. There was a front desk clerk who was a bit cranky and acted like we were bothering him every time (he always acted like he had something better to do) we had a question but the rest were top notch. They have fixed rates (cabs) from the hotel so USE their service, they are reasonable. We got ripped off from another cab driver just like the book says but the Tulip has their own who are exceptionally reliable and reasonable. We even took a cab to Prague Castle and asked the driver to come back after us in two hours and he did - right on time! We thought it an exceptional value overall and couldnt have been happier.

FYI about the immediate neighborhood
Our room and the hotel in general was nice, but the immediate neighborhood was a bit shady (meaning--its not a good idea for a female to be walking back to the hotel alone at night). The hotel is right next to the highway and theres a dark, not-too-nice-looking bar on the same block. But in a group, its fine and its by no means a dangerous neighborhood. Also, its only a 10 minute walk to much of the nicer neighborhoods.

All good!
This hotel was great, central location, only a walking distance from the old town. Its right across the road from a train station. Hotel staff were very friendly, the recepionist and porter went out of their way to make us feel at home. Free internet connection in the lobby too. This hotel is cool. I would deffinetely reccomend it!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
We got the hotel taxi back to the airport, the taxi driver was friendly, on arrival at the airport the taxi driver could not change our 1000 krona note, and I had no change, so I gave him the 1000 krona note which is the equivalent of 38 euro for a short taxi ride that shouldnt have cost more than 25 euro. If you take the hotel taxi bring a 500 note and 200 note that way you wouldnt be stuck. It was possibly our fault for not having the exact amount.

despite its seemingly dodgey location, id stay there again.
this staff at this hotel was extremely helpful and very nice. the location is near the main bus station and right next to the expressways, so it seems a bit dingy. however, it is a 10-min walk to wenceslas square and close to all the shopping, right next to several tram stops and of course right next to a subway stop. the hotel lobby makes the hotel seem a bit small. but the interior of our room was spacious, clean, modern, comfortable and even the hallways were wide. complimentary breakfast was quite good. and there are 2 computers with high-speed internet right next to the lobby. they were helpful and booked us a bus tour w/tour guide (the tour guides are hit or miss though)that lasts for about 3 hours. as well, they offer a fixed price cab service to the airport with a reliable taxi driver and service. i would stay here again, as it seemed reasonably priced for what we received.

Awesome breakfast
There are few things that stand out about this hotel. Breakfast was great. Nothing like what I experienced at other B&B hotels. Rooms are spacious and tidy. Neighborhood is not that pretty, but it is still walking distance to everywhere. When we checked in, reception clerk was impersonal and doesnt even make eye contact. However, the lady who checked us out was very friendly. I would still recommend this hotel. Its good for the money you spend.

Nice hotel
The hotel is near of the railway station. Although the hotel is not so quiet near of the center, if you get used to walk, is ok then. The hotel is big and has a very nice and confortable beds ( if that is important for you) the bad tub is big and it is very clean. Breakfast is awsome, so you wont be starving in the morning!. It has free internet pc access to the guest, so is a plus of this hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Book a tour on expedia, is cheap and the tours are on vans so you dont have to worry about the weather or walking a lot.
