It was wonderful
I found the room on Expedia for the days that I wanted. It was the only site that had the room available. We woke up to the sound of the Merced River out our back door and Yosemite Falls was out our front door. After a long day of hiking we had a very comfortable room with a shower to come back to. It was perfect.
Traveler's tip
Always check out Expedia when looking for a place to stay. They had a room available that even the park system did not show. I had a great vacation thank to Expedia.

Too Much Money for this room!
I know this hotel is old but was supposedly updated in the last ten years. The beds were the smallest most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. I’m glad we were only there 1 night.

Mixed feelings
I chose ’yes’ on the question ’would you recommend the hotel to others as a place to stay’, but overall the feelings are mixed. The best thing about this hotel is its location, as everyone who tries to book this hotel already knows. The front desk was polite and helpful. A cafeteria is near-by. But the lodge rooms, though spacious, unavoidably showed signs of age.
