Good location
I wasn’t overly impressed with this hotel. All rooms stunk like smoke since we are allowed to smoke in them. We’d leave for the day and since the power is shut off when you take your room key, the room reiks when you return. The service was good. I really enjoyed the location which is the only reason I would maybe stay at Hotel PJ again.

SUPERB!!!!
I chose Hotel PJ for my first visit to Seoul, Korea because of the excellent reviews and the affordable price. When I arrived, I was upgraded to a One Bedroom Suite, and I was in HEAVEN!!!!! The room was HUGE and gorgeously decorated with Korean flair, the bathroom was immaculate and the city views from my balcony were amazing!!!! I was in a 10th floor suite, and I did not want to leave!!!!!! The bed was extremely comfortable, everything worked, and I was pleased with the extra special touches like the bathrobe and the slippers offered in the room. The service was impressive - and everyone was helpful. The only "downfall" was that the bathtub was very small. I was looking forward to soaking in a LARGE bathtub after not seeing one for over a month. (I teach English in Jeonju City and have no bathtub in my apartment). So - I was disappointed that the bathtub was not as comfortable as I expected - but the room and the total experience completely made up for that one downfall. Also - the hotel was only a 10-15 minute cab drive to and from Itaewon - I will def. return!!!
Traveler's tip
Make sure you write down the address to Hotel PJ from the website and give it to your cab driver when you arrive. I had to ask about 5 different cab drivers for a ride, because many of them were not familiar with the hotel. Once I got to the hotel, the front desk clerk wrote the name and info in Korean, and I simply gave that card to every cab driver after my arrival. I had no problems with getting to and from my hotel with the written instructions.

PJ Hotel
It was run by a very friendly and helpful staff who spoke English well. They helped with everything from changing rooms, to finding lost luggage, as well as helping out on how to get to our travel destinations the fastest. Very courteous and kind attitudes.
