Great for the Rate
The best thing about this hotel is that it was inexpensive and a two block walk in the historic district , Duval Steet and a few blocks from Hemmingway’s house. The room was clean but well wore. It is an older hotel with individual rooms arranged in a semi-circle around the pool area which was very nice. They upgraded me at no cost to a room with a small kitchen and living area. The bed was very comfortable. If you are looking for a 1st class standard hotel room that looks like every other hotel room, this is not for you. If you want something unique with some age in the historic district, this is it. The room came with breakfast pool side. The location was so good that once I parked my car, I did not have to use it the rest of the weekend.
Make sure to book a snorkeling trip to the reef. Take the tour at Hemmingway’s house, you get more out of the visit
