Overpriced for what you get

This is a very simple hotel with small rooms, smaller showers and uncomfortable beds. When my brother and I checked in, we were first led to a room with 1 double bed when our reservation clearly stated 2 single beds. The room was small, crowded and uninteresting, but not unlike many hotels in Athens. The only plus was the included breakfast, although it was nothing to write home about. My biggest complaint is the cost. For what I paid, the nicer hotels were worth 1.5x the price. The delta in quality would have been well worth it and I stayed in a similar hotel to the Rio Athens that was not only cheaper, but nicer and had more amenities (like free WI-FI).
