Belize Me...Best Beachfront Hotel Ever!
The view from our room was amazing. Great sunrises. Friendly staff. Bike rentals right outside the office. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Vacation
Staff was real helpful and the hotel was well maintaned. We upgraded to a balcony suite which was the best thing we could of done. We would go back there.

Mata Rocks rocks!
Mata Rocks is a great hotel literally a stone’s throw away from the beach on Ambergris Caye. If you are looking for 5 star though this is not the place. If you want a good clean room with a little kitchen and great view of the beach this is the place for you. I would definately stay at Mata Rocks in the future. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but the hotel staff and other guests will guide you to the best places to eat on the island (all within a few bucks taxi ride too and from the place). Mata Rocks is a very small hotel and it is clear the staff cares about their jobs and making guests happy. Belize isn’t the simplest place to get to. At the Squirrel’s Nest Bar which really defines the resort, the locals (many of whom are expats who live on the island) can be overheard discussing their golf carts and why Ambergris Caye is such a great place to live. I would highly suggest this place as a romantic couple’s place to vacation.

If you go, make sure to visit Casa Picasso Restaurant. You won’t see the Sangria on the menu, but ask for it to accompany the various tapas dishes and you will not be disappointed.
