Delightful Experience
On our recent 11 day stay we felt as though we had been adopted by the management and staff of this family owned and operated hotel. The general manager, Marco, has excellent English language skills and was able to satisfy all of our needs. The entire staff went above and beyond the ordinary to make us feel welcome and "at home". And, while we did not have dinner included in our room rate, the food was so delicious and well presented that we had the majority of our meals in the hotel. It offers a most pleasant atmosphere and we were sad to have to say arrivederci as our stay there ended.
Avoid changing planes in Frankfurt. It is a nightmare airport.

Lovely hotel
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Montebello in Montecatini Terme. The owners and staff could not do enough for us. The owner does not speak English, but his son has an excellent command of the language. Dinner at the restaurant was very reasonably priced and very good. One of the waitresses lived many years in England and will translate the menu for you. All in all a wonderful place to stay.
Traveler's tip
This hotel is away from the main hustle and bustle of town so is very quiet. It is however, just a very short walk from anything you might want to do in Montecatini Terme. Great location.

Great location
Great location, we had easy access to resturants, shopping, and the train station from this hotel. The family own/run hotel was very nice and the staff more than helpful. Only thing we had a problem with was the shower, it only had a shower curtain that went around you and was very difficult to move around. Not sure if all rooms had this type or not.
Traveler's tip
In April and the first of May the kids are out of school and are on field trips, they usually came in late evening and left first thing in am So it got a little loud till 11pm.
