Tuscany stay
I am an American living in Norway with my family. We stayed at Villa Cesi with a nine month old baby. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel is located in a picturesque and quaint area outside the beautiful little town of Impruneta. It is a bit challenging finding the place on the map and or the GPS. But, that goes with the road signs in Italy, especially if there is construction going on. You cannot get there without a car. But, it is only about 12 kilometers (8 miles) from Florence city center.The airport is about 40 minutes drive. You just have to get used to the Italian driving! It is not the top of the line hotel. But, for the price it offered clean sheets, shower, scenery, friendly staff, internet service, and a quiet place to rest. We enjoyed it enough to want to do it all over again. Our wedding trip to Florence
We stayed at this hotel and were delighted with the beauty of the surroundings. It is totally Tuscany. The staff were very accommadating to all of us and did everything to help us get a car for the day and to get us rooms for others in our party to stay there too after their stay in Florence. We enjoyed the restaurant wait staff too who although spoke no English, tried in every way to meet our menu needs. It was a bit far from Florence but we easily went there by taxi, which was a bit on the expensive side, and by bus which was very close to the hotel. We indeed enjoyed this hotel and would stay there again. It is truly a romantic setting and very beautiful. The photos on their website does not do it justice.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Try to take the local bus to and from Florence to save on the taxi fare which ran us between 20 and 50 Euros each time.
