Very dated, in need of renovation
Our stay was horrible. The lobby looks nice, but once you go up, the hallways and the rooms are very old. It looks like it was last decorated in the 70s. We had booked for two nights, but left after one night.

Good location
Good-sized rooms most with spectacular views of city and bay. Bathroom also large with great water pressure and hot water. Morning buffet had excellent selection but dining area was always a hassle to get a table as hotel is very popular with Chinese tour groups. The taxi drivers in Penang are notorious for gouging passengers and refusing to use meters. Hotel is sensitive to this and I would recommend you letting hotel staff hailing the taxi.

At night the street in front of the hotel turns into a night market. Numerous food stalls and places to sit and eat.

Good breakfast!
I think, this hotel is very good cost performance. and then, it’s not only cheap, but also good breakfast. Because many kind of food are prepared, such as Local food (Malaysian), Western and Chinese, everything are good taste. In addition, rusually everyone can enjoy meal above, since estaurant staff also give us good hospitality. On the other hand, many food shop has been opened around this hotel espescially night time, everyone take easy reasonable local food. This hotel may be one of the good hotel for economical traveler in Georgetown.
