Fairly luxurious western style hotel with pool
Very nice, great service although the usual communication difficulties with room service, etc. A nice big pool and patio bar. We had a balcony with a decent view. An in-room safe, no minibar (good), a fridge (great), inexpensive service and gift shops, great buffet breakfast, huge. Very good, a bit of a walk to the square via the mosque, but pleasant. Set your taxi fare in advance, they’re cheap but not metered. Rode the Marrakech Express from Casablanca! hot, hot, cheap, we stood next to two broken slit windows to photograph, no a/c, dont bother with first class.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Do NOT FLY TAP, Air Portugal, left Lisbon 4 hrs late, on and off plane, missed our Casablanca connection, They were unhelpful both ways; I was ill returning and their medic gave me a pill she dropped on the floor. PAY MORE to avoid TAP, seriously. YOU WILL get lost in the medina, expect to take a cab back to the Place al Fna? I forget, the big square. Dinner al fresco second floor viewing the square at night is wonderful, great food and view, cheap too, western orient
