Consistently enjoyable
My family has chosen to stay at The Waters of Minoqua several times. The hotel has a charming "lodge" feel, with carved wood accents, a huge stone fireplace, and Northwoods decor. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a rather small waterpark with an indoor/outdoor pool. We had fun swimming under the chanel between the inddor and the outdoor pool. I thought the pool felt cold, but the kids didnt care! There are 2 waterslides that are open a limited amount of time, when lifeguards are posted. There is a cute little kids splash area. The hot tub is the BEST I have ever been in! It is a huge indoor/outdoor hot tub and you can wade through from inside to outside. I love sitting by the waterfall in the hot tub and letting all tension float away. Lets not forget the charming bar for a beverage in the evening! Always a nice stay!
Ottos for a brat and a beer; the Thirsty Whale for a casual lakeside dinner/lunch; the Red Steer for a greak steak.

Wouldnt mind going back but staying in a different type or room.
The hotel was attractive inside and out. The rooms were fine but the bathroom (in our room) was very, very unhandy. We are bigger people and to get into the bathroom and then close the door you almost had to get into the bathtub. It was very, very small area to stand and close the door. Also, there was a small problem with the air conditioning starting up and shutting off the electricity in the room (TV), etc. and it rebooted in a few seconds and back on again. The beds were a little soft for my liking also. The continental breakfast had a wide assortment to choose from and seemed to be very nice. We didnt stay to eat, just get coffee and juice. Hotel check-in and check-out had very nice staff.
