Great Hotel!!!!
A very, very good hotel and a decent, fair price to boot. On a cross country vacation from seattle to Boston and back we liked this hotel the best. So much so, that we booked it for our return trip after staying there on the outbound leg. Great location 1/2 block off the Magnificent Mile. Good rooms and the staff were first rate.
Traveler's tip on dining
Pizzeria UNo and Pizzeria Due (birthplace of Chicago Deep Dish Pizza) are 3 blocks west on Ohio from the hotel. Both are great. Evening dining exceeds 90 minute waits for a table while we found that 11:00 am to 12:00 pm lunches had almost no lines. Well worth the wait even with a long line!

Good stay overall
My mom and I visited this hotel during a one-night stay in Chicago. We had a wonderful time in Chicago and overall a good stay. The front desk staff was not particularly friendly, but at the same time was not rude. It almost felt as though they did not go out of the way to make us feel special. However, we did report a problem with the light on one of the nightstands, and it was replaced by the time we came back after spending the afternoon out. I would definitely go back to this hotel.
