OMG This is a NO Star Hotel

This hotel was a bit of a shock on a recent trip to the Monterey area. A big classic car event had caused most hotels to be fully booked, but not this one.I should have know something was up. Upon arrival in my room I noted broken down and worn furniture that even Goodwill would refuse to take. This old worn out hotel has nothing to offer guests except dilapidated rooms, paper thin walls, rooms with A/C’s located in the bathroom (as was the small refrig and microwave), ice machines that have been broken for years, beds that are decades old and so on. Even the wall plugs were the old two prong type and you and you couldn’t plug in devices (like a laptop charger) without an adapter. Towels that you can hold up to the light and see through. Do you want the refrigerator next to the toilet? How about sitting on the toilet to microwave something? Get the idea? This place is beyond redemption, it should be bulldozed. It actually makes other flea bag motels in Hollister and Salinas look good in comparison. Don’t be fooled by a few planter boxes out front, it is a dump and you wont enjoy your stay or paying good money for a room here. I really am not exaggerating at all, this is the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in and even worse than military barracks when I was in the Army! Beware!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

You can walk across the street to Del Monte shopping center and the Whole Foods Store and get a decent sandwich and drinks...and ice, since the hotel ice machine has been broken for a long long time (they have spider webs).
