Excellent Hotel in Salzburg
Excellent hotel in Salzburg. Close proxomity to major attractions. Free parking. The staff were very friendly, especially the ladies in the breakfast room.

I wish I had known...
The biggest problem we had with this hotel was that the air conditioning vent smelled like a sewer the entire time we were there. It was disgusting. The room was very small. The hotel staff seemed to care less if we were there or not. This is the only hotel on our 7 city European tour that I would not recommend. It ruined Salzburg for us a bit - a really bad first impression. This ONLY plus was that it was right down the street from the Sound of Music Tour. Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel by any means and certainly not worth the money.

Uncomfortable beds, no charm whatsoever
The location was great, close to the train station and an easy walk to the Old City and all the sights. However, the beds were uncomfortable, the room resembled a dormitory room (not in a good way), no style, no charm, no decor whatsoever. The breakfast buffet was good. Had I known, I would have chosen another hotel.
