Ter Brughe Hotel
Ter Brughe is situated in the peaceful old quarter of St.Gillis, along one of the most picturesque channels of Bruges. The 4-star hotel is located near the 14th century Augustine Bridge. Built in 1553, today the house is a listed building, so that it is not possible to install a lift within its walls. The oldest part of the Ter Brughe Hotel is the vaulted cellar, which was originally built to serve as a warehouse for the goods that were brought here along the channels. Nowadays it is the magnificent setting for the breakfast room, where tourists and business travelers to Bruges are invited to enjoy their start into the day. Lovely hotel
Hotel Ter Brughe couldn’t have been nicer -- it’s a beautiful historic building on a quiet street & canal, 5 min walk from the center of town, nicely renovated and well maintained. Breakfast was generous and delicious. There’s no elevator in the hotel (the building is landmarked) so if you have heavy bags you might want to request a room on the ground floor.
