Great Hotel; Great Location
This is my 6th trip to London, and this was one of the better hotels Ive stayed at. The room was clean, the staff friendly, no issues with heating/cooling, and in a nice quiet location. As many others have said, the hotel is almost literally right across the street from St. James tube station and right down the street from Westminster Abbey and Parliament; so it is a great place to stay as far as getting around the City and Westminster. Although we didnt eat in the pub on the ground floor, it looked nice and the prices seemed reasonable (for London). I would certainly stay at this hotel again. The one complaint I have was with the wake-up calls we requested. On both ocassions during our stay when we requested wake-up calls, both times the calls were made much later than we requested (on one occassion, 30 minutes late).

Good location, decent size rooms
Not a bad choice for comfy rooms in a central location with an old-world feel. Nice pub, close to bus and train pick-ups. Dont let them book your taxi, though. It never came and we nearly missed our flight home.

Absolutely Loved!
After hearing all the bad comments about hotels in London, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only is it located right in the middle of all the attractions, but it is exactly the taste of London I was looking for. It was adorable old fashioned in decorations, but more modern in room amenities. The streets were quiet and there was a pub connected down stairs that we enjoyed.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We were informed that museums are all free in London. We did a tour to Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford that was great. Go to the different pubs for some culture. We enjoyed The Albert on Victoria Street and the Sherlock Holmes off of Northumberland Ave. The metro was the best in three countries that we road (better than Chicago too).
