its a bed
theres a place to sleep, a bathroom, a locking door, a non-working television and some 20 year old carpet. No bugs, no colorful characters hanging around and there are lots of places to eat nearby. Like a rickety old house near campus, I felt like I was back in college. If you need a place to stay in Dublin, this will do.

Dont stay here
The sheets smelled like cigarette smoke, there were holes in them, the bathroom was dirty, hairs were everywhere, and you have to turn in the key at the front desk when you leave and pray that when you come back, nobody has locked the door to keep you out.

Great Location and Great Price! Dont expect a Resort Though
This Hotel is a quaint and small old building remodeled and converted inot a hotel. The rooms are very small and dated, but the beauty is that it couldnt have been located in a better area. Its in the lively and desirable Temple Bar area across from the Liffey River Hapenny Bridge, and a short distance(all walking) to many Bus Lines, National Museums, Post Offices, Guinness Brewery, the OConnell Street Grafton Street and City Center shopping districts. The hotel does serve a continental Breakfast and is conveniently staffed 24 Hours. It is not handicap friendly and there are many rickety stairs to climb. If you think of this place as a base camp to store your things, have a nap and a shower, then the somewhat spartan conditions really dont matter because it is so well situated. I definitely would stay here again.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If you are on a budget, only have a short stay or view travel and exploration as an activity to be sought and enjoyed and not as lounging liesurely on the side of a pool with a tropical drink, then this is one of the best deals you can find in regards to location and price.
