good value

As far as finding affordable hotel rates with a good location, I was very pleased with Hotel atlantic. They do have internet access with a pc in the lobby, and that was very useful for me to book further travel plans. Location can’t be beat.

Atlantic Hotel in Prague

Breakfast and location were good. It was really smokey in the hallways and the shower over shot the curtains. The bathroom floors were sopping wet when we would take showers but it was very clean and I would stay their again and recommend it to anyone.

Everything is close walking distance and you don’t really need to take the subways or taxis.

Defenetely recommended

Good location, disant service, freandly stuff, a nice room, good breakfast buffet. But there is not air conditioners in the room-might be a problem at summer time and For full breakfast selections is better to come as early as possible.

Old and dirty

We were unimpressed with this hotel. Everything in our room (aside from the new bathroom) was old, stained, and threadbear (didn’t want to walk around the room barefoot). Even the towels were old and thin. The entire hotel (even on the 4th floor) smelled like smoke due to the Havanna bar in the lobby, so we had to lay a towel at the base of the door to keep the smoke odor down at night. There was no air conditioning or ceiling fan in the room, so it stayed warm and stuffy. Security of the room was minimal, with only a key lock (no bolt or chain). There was only one computer in the lobby available to guests, so it was hard to get access. The breakfast offering was subpar. The only positive for this hotel was the location. We will not be staying here again.

A good place to stay.

The staff was eager to please. The room , although renovated, retains charm from an earlier time. With very tall ceilings the room felt more than spacious. The bath area was very modern and convenient. The location was convenient to the rest of the city wether by foot or public transport.

Very Satisfied

This was purely a leisure vacation and the Atlantic suited us fine. Conveniently located within a short walk to Old Town tourist sites in the , yet in shooting distance of less intensely tourist restaurants, etc. Easy and inexpensive access to airport: 120 CK air porter shuttle lets you off a black away. Other options much more expensive. Front desk and cleaning staff were excellent. I wanted to find a coin store. They understood and my researched and came up with documented choices and dictions. PC in the lobby is shared by guests. Access worked reasonably well. WiFi in all the rooms for those with laptops. I expected a limited relatively uninteresting breakfast included in the price. Actually good choices of both food and beverages. It met need for exposure to Czech food allowing us to sample other international cuisines in the Prague. Restaurant staff was efficient and pleasant.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Easy and inexpensive access to airport: 120 CK air porter shuttle lets you off a black away. Other options much more expensive. Avoid the high pressure touts. Shuttle tickets purchased in airpoert lobby just after you exit customs. Easy.

Everything about the hotel was perfect. Awesome location. Parking is pretty expensive although it was in line with public garages in the vicinity.

Great value in Prague

Clean, great staff--helpful--good English, great location (close to subway lines and old town). Excellent value with good variety for breakfast. try to avoid front rooms--trolley cars are quite noisy all night.

Good Value

Friendly & helpful staff. Rooms are quite spacious, very clean with basic furnishing. The twin beds were not the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed on. Very Good location to main attractions and center. The breakfast room is very clean and the buffet is fairly good but it does cater more to the locals. The bar area is nice and relaxing. I would be happy to stay here again.

Traveler's tip on shopping

A few steps away from a large shopping mall and 5-10 minute walk to main train station. Taxi from airport should be no more than $35.00 US.

Almost perfect

Nice hotel, great location, very friendly, excellent staff. Our room had windows overlooking the street and was noisy. after first night we asked for the room on the other side of the building and our request was granted without any problems at all. The second room WAS perfect in all respects. this was our second stay in this hotel, and if we go to Prague again, we’ll probably stay here again. And it’s not expensive.

Cheap hotel for homosexuals mostly. Not a family place

Unless you are looking for a "gay friendly" hotel, you don’t belong here. Book an American hotel next block. Nicotine and overcooked food stench in a hallway, noisy doors and bad sound isolation, really small shower cabin. However, I must mention very friendly and handy front desk staff. Probably the only bright spot in this hotel.

Was orth the cost

The room was large and clean but the room I had was in the front of the building and was noisy due to the trams running all the time.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The tram is right outside the hotel so you can get to any place you would like easy. Also the metro line is very close- about a 2 minute walk. Many trstraunts and attractions are within walking distance.

Tired hotel but location is great

The hotel could use some renovation, epecially changing of the carpet. The bathroom and room decor is barely fair. The buffet breakfast was excellent though, and all staff super friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful- a short walk from the main Old Town square, half a block from Smetana Concert Hall, walking distance to Mucha museum, etc. Overall we were satisfied with this hotel.

Very central at a good price!

Overall very satisfied with this hotel - it is one of the older hotels, quite simple but clean, tidy and the staff are very friendly. if you want a cheap central hotel, very close to the old town then this is a good bet.

Good hotel, great value, Excellent staff!

This hotel was typical European chic, after many travels still don’t understand why the concept of a true ’king size’ bed is lacking on the continent. However, the horrible bed was more than made up for by both the location (you can walk anywhere in Old Town or downtown from here), and the staff, who from the maids to the Manager were incredibly friendly and helpful, including the Management solving a travel issue that was not of their making. A special mention goes out to the shy little receptionist who none the less knew exactly where everything was and how to get things done, always with a smile. Breakfast is pretty good, Wifi worked well (the room was close to the router), all in all a great value, am planning to go back this summer.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Agreed that the hotel service for taxi is a better value (Czech taxis are notorious), the drivers are friendly and it’s an excellent way to get back to the airport. As most European hotels do not have guest laundry, look for: LaundryLand It’s only a few blocks away in the back of a mall, you can drop off your laundry with an attendant and shop/dine while its being done.

Good value for money

I enjoyed my stay at Atlantic hotel very much. Very good location. All places of interest are available in few minutes by foot. Reception staff is very friendly. The rooms are big enough. Breakfast is poor but satisfactory.

:Very good location in Prague for walking to Old Town

This hotel was not fancy, but was comfortable, clean and staffed by very competent English-speaking employees. The beds were a little hard, but we found out that throughout Czech Republic the beds are all platform and have hard foam mattresses. The breakfast was extensive - we only had to eat two meals a day. Located on a side street, we did not have much noise distraction and were able to sleep. Would definitely go there again.

Value for money

The hotel is located very close to the Republic Square and the Palladium shopping center. The room is rather spacious for European standards. The room was very clean and came with a safe deposit box as well. The breakfast was rather sumptous too. There is also free wireless internet in the rooms. However, my room did not have good reception of the internet service as the room was located rather far from the router. Would definitely go back to the same hotel if I go back to Prague.

Solid Value

Even though hotel is stuck in 70 with dark paneling and no air-conditioning adjustment in the room, the location (around the corner of sightseeing tours gathering, short walk to old town and its attractions, next to shopping mall, the service, the room size (humongous with high ceilings, 2 windows, the wall of built in wardrobes ) and cleanliness compensate it all.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Use hotel services for taxi, it is much cheaper and better service then to do it on your own. Take advantage of the breakfast (our was included in the stay) - pretty good value. Hotel has luggage room so you may store your luggage at the hotel before and after check in/out while sightseeing.

Perfect Location

Hotel was in a very nice area and a easy walk into the old square. Room was very nice and spacious. We would definitely stay here again. Secure, free parking was a plus. And free wifi.

Traveler's tip on dining

We ate at a KFC twice while in Prague and it was the best that we have ever eaten at.

Great value, awesome location, good staff

This hotel turned out to be a gem. I chose it from the reviews on tripadvisor. The staff are great and very helpful. The room was spacious (for a European hotel) and clean. Our room faced the street and had huge windows that opened up allowing lots of light and fresh air (no bugs!). The bathroom was so clean that it smelled of bleach; loved it. There is free wifi though it doesn’t reach all the rooms (I was just glad it was free!) Also a computer downstairs that you can use for free that is on the internet. Breakfast is pretty good and is also free. Meats, cheeses, breads, fresh fruit, cereal and some hot foods that were local. The beds were comfortable. Location is awesome. It’s just a block away from the metro station and practically next door to a HUGE mall where you can get local shopping and some great cafes. Check out Au Gourmet in the mall for some amazing and low cost food! The hotel is only a block or so from the gateway to prague and a five minute walk to Old Towne Square/Clock. This is a neat area of town but go off in the other parts of Prague for fewer crowds.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Do you want a great place to take photos of the city? Try going up to the big Metronome on the hill in the city. It’s about 250 stairs up with places to rest but it’s an amazing view. You will find harmless local skaters using the park for recreation and the best view of the city! It’s a way better view than from Prague Castle or the Charles Bridge because it’s where a lot of those cool bridge photos are shot from. It’s beautiful and it’s FREE!

Gem of a hotel!

The location is close to train and subway stations, as well as Old Town and Wencelas Squares. Excellent Havanna themed bar with good Cuban cigars! Bartender made a great drink and gave excellent tourism advice! Na zdraví!

Traveler's tip on dining

Restaurant, Zvonice, in Henry’s Bell Tower - touristy and pricey but worth it. Close walk from the Atlantic. Same for Celnice!
