Great small hotel on the Grand Canal
We have always avoided staying on the Grand Canal: too much hustle and bustle, This was a terrific place to stay--quiet on the uppoer flours and very6 friendly staff.

Great, great hotel.
We stayed for 3 nights. Spacious rooms by European standards, fantastic views from our room and the roof-top dining area. Cant beat the location -- close enough to the main tourist areas and vaporetti, but far enough away that you dont get disturbed at night by noise. Great breakfast choices (get there before 9AM), excellent restaurant food on the roof. Their hot chocolate is just about the best in the city (European-style). Staff was superbly attentive without being intrusive (we had a drainage issue with our shower and it was fixed within 5 minutes of informing the front desk). Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
If you want a more meaningful tour of the Duke/Doges Palace, ask the receptionist to reserve some spots on the "secret itineraries" tour when you arrive. They sell out in advance, so youll have to book a couple days out.

Good Hotel, Good Price, Venice
The hotel staff was extremely helpful and made our dinner reservations every night based on what we said we wanted for dinner.
