good and bad
The hotel was excellent with a modern decor and convenient to the train station. (right across the street) But it was also in an area which was not the nicest part of the city with a fairly good walk into the historical district.
Traveler's tip
Bologna is full of graffiti and unclean. Its a shame the ancient buildings are being disrespected.

A very crowded triple
We stayed there for only one night and the hotel was fine for the most part but do not stay there if you need a triple. All they did was put a bed at the bottom of the larger bed. It was cramped and there was no real walking space there. The triple bed looked like a rollaway although it was not. There was much more space at the Starhotel Excelsior next door. I also didn’t care for the decor in the rooms. The lobby was small but attractive and modern. The front desk was very nice and helpful. I would stay there again but not in a triple.

This hotel is just across from the train station and was in a very convenient location if you are going to be riding the rails.
