Noise at night
Basically I enjoyed my stay at the Bilmar with one acception. My room was right over "Bazzies" their little bar. During the day it was fine but at night it was like having another 80 people in your room. I will go back however and just make sure that my room wasnt over top of the club. My room was beautifully located as far as the view of the ocean and kept very clean. The staff at the hotel are wonderful, very polite and customer service is their specialty. Great selection of local eateries with a drug store and food store within easy walking distance.

Nice, quiet hotel
The hotel was on the beach which was the reason I chose to say here. Right across the street was a strip mall with a Walgreens and some retail stores. There is a bar called Ricky Ts across the street which is nice for live music. We stayed in early September so it was very quiet and relaxing. The room had a kitchenette so that came in handy. The room was decent size and updated. The hotel itself needs some updating. The building from the outside looks very old. A mile away was Johns Pass although there was not much there except T-shirt stores and souveneir places. Would definately recommend Charlies boat cruise. It was a lot of fun.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Not too many bars or nightlife attractions nearby except Ricky Ts and the restaurants at the hotel. Sloppy Joes had good food and it was on the beach.
